Grasslands National Park protects a stretch of southern Saskatchewan prairie. Among today’s living prairie lie traces of the deep past and of those who came before: dinosaur fossils, the mass extinction boundary, hearth sites, tipi rings, bison drive lanes and the cellar depressions of homesteads.
