Factual accuracy review: No recorded challenge

No recorded challenge is not proof of accuracy. A challenge under review is not a finding that the record is false.

A Canadian federal ballot is secret. Voters mark their choice privately, and no employer, relative or other person is entitled to demand that they disclose how they voted.

Independent citizenship-study support. Read the cited official sources; this is not an official question bank or a guarantee of a test result.

More context

The guide describes checking voter registration and the assigned polling location, bringing the required identification, marking an X beside the chosen candidate, folding the ballot and depositing it according to election officials’ instructions. The voter information card provides voting details; consult current Elections Canada identification rules rather than assuming the card alone satisfies every requirement.

Eligible voters may also have advance-poll or special-ballot options. Registration can be completed through the applicable procedures even if a voter information card was not received. Provincial, territorial and municipal elections also use secret voting, but their rules differ from federal rules.
