More context

Toronto is Ontario’s capital and an important financial centre. Ontario’s study themes include manufacturing, agriculture, the Niagara fruit and wine region and French-speaking communities outside Quebec.

Québec City is Quebec’s capital, while Montréal is a major metropolitan centre. The guide highlights French-speaking culture, the St. Lawrence settlement corridor, hydroelectricity, forestry, aerospace and pharmaceuticals. English-speaking Quebec communities also form part of the province’s identity. The five Great Lakes are Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario; Michigan lies entirely in the United States.
